TRANSCRIPT: Meeting of all First Heads August 22, 2040 English Version as taken down by OnD’ssze Attendees: Members of the High Council: (in order of command) Tce’ePs Celazie Wev’eel Str’poc Yoon’Noon First Heads: V’OnnAE’w: First Head of Pit One PexT’tiat: First Head of Pit Two TSuuA’axxQ: First Head of the Land Above Ruts’B’ion: First Head of Pit Three AeveE’stix: First Head of War Or’Lon’t: First Head of Pit Four Goet’heMM: First Head of Communication Zca’xxcc’z: First Head of Maps Do’k’pstr’ien: First Head of Language Insvetainia: First Head of Pit Five Time: 0800 hours Place: Meeting house in Alpha Ship (hovering) //Tce’ePs bangs the judge’s gavel against the tall desk where the High Council sits.// Tce: This meeting will now come to order. Celazie: As you are well aware of, the humans have been responding wonderfully to our treatment. Almost all who have resisted are now broken and dead within. All those who are slaves have been working up to par. Is that assumption correct, TSuuA? TSuuA: Yes. I have checked on all the slaves and found they are working to their master’s expectations. Many do not need the help of the whip any longer. Many are still beaten frequent, however, as it should be. Wev: I see. That is a good report. Tce: And on account of the pit prisoners, how are they? V’Onn: Most all are broken. My sector only harbors seven who refuse to buckle down and admit defeat. PexT: All are broken, High Council. Ruts: All but six. Or’Lon: Every single bleedin’ one, cept two, sirs and madams. Insvetainia: Mine are dead and vaccent and empty, as per your orders. Tce: That is good news. Soon, none will be living, in any sense of the definition of the word. Once we are done breaking them, we can rebuild them. //gasps from the first heads.// AeveE: Why would you want to do that? They are just fine as they are? Why don’t we forget the humans and move on to greener pastures? Str’poc: We took over this planet for a purpose, not simply to destroy a race. We will sell the slaves who are now above ground and train the broken ones to do as we say. That is the way! That has been the way from the beginning. To build a new empire. For D’Oma’! //Everyone chimes: For D’Oma’.// Yoon: We only have one problem on our agenda. That is, how are we going to fix the nothings that we have created. PexT: I have a suggestion. Celazie: Spit it out. PexT: Love. //gasps from the First Heads and the High Council// Tce: Love? PexT: Yes. That is the only way to rebuild what the humans call their spirit. Through the love of one another. TSuuA: We can’t give the humans any love? We don’t know the first thing about love for the wretched human race! Str’poc: That is true. Our race does not know much about this feeling the humans thrive on. PexT: Not our love. Love for one another. We need to let them be with one another once again, as they were before we came to this place. They will regain their strengths and the sense of themselves. As they do that, we can train them, much to my dismay. V’Onn: Don’t tell me, PexT. You care about these human creatures. PexT: Yes. Is that so wrong? TSuuA: You are a disgrace. PexT: Because I can feel? V’Onn: We can’t feel. It’s not built into us. We were made in the image of D’Oma’, and she certainlly was never able to have feelings. No, you are mearly sympathising with the humans. I suggest immediate reconstruction on the grounds that you have transmitted brain waves from them to you. PexT: That is impossible. I do not have the power, nor the capability to gather their brain waves. TSuuA: You can read their filthy minds! PexT: Outcry! Tce: Settle down. We will hold our own judgements about PexT’s views. Celazie: I agree. Wev: Agree with the notion of love? Celazie: Yes. Also, I agree with PexT. She has never steered us in the wrong direction. If she says that they need companionship and love from one another to do as we bid, then I propose we do just that. TSuuA: Blasphime, all of you. Tce: TSuuA! Not another word. You have too much to do in the upcoming months to worry about those in the pits. It will be your job to rid the land of the slaves, to make room for the new ones. If I were you, I’d start planning now. TSuuA: Of course. But I am still not in agreement with any of this. Str’poc: That is fine. Dully noted. Do’k: Are we to seperate different speaking humans above land? Celazie: I think we need one language for all. Do’k: May I suggest English as the native tongue. Most of those I encounter know how to use it, and those who don’t can learn. Celazie: Noted and motioned. Tce? Tce: Agreed. All those in favor? //all members of the room chime “aye”// Tce: Then it has been determined. Goet: I will get the word out through our usual channels. Tce: Very good. Zca’x: I will have my team constructing new training centers above ground. With rooms meant for four instead of one. Wev: Good planning. Zca’x: And I will alter the Earth’s maps accordingly. Also, I think it best if new housing structures are made, as well as outdoor areas of trade and punishment. Wev: Noted and agreed. Begin this work immedietly. Zca’x: Yes. Tce: And as for the pit heads. I would like you to compose lists of names and numbers for these new facilities. Four to a room, remember, whether you agree or not. This, my friends, is not just for us, but for D’Oma’. She will not be pleased if we disobey her orders. Celazie: First Heads of the Pits, are we understood? V’Onn: Clearly. PexT: Thank you. I understand deeply. Ruts: Yes. Or’Lon: Absolutly, sirs and madams. Insvetainia: Understood completly. Tce: Very good. Soon, this planet will have changed like the seasons. D’Oma’ will be pleased with our progress. All hail D’Oma’! //Everyone chimes: All hail D’Oma’!// Tce: Is there anything else that deserves our attention? //Nobody speaks// Tce: Very good. Then I call this meeting of the First Heads and High Council closed. //Tce’ePs bangs gavel against desk// //High Council exists, as well as AeveE’stix, Goet’heMM, Zca’xxcc’z and Do’k’pstr’ien// TSuuA: I can’t believe this! I thought we would just kill those fucking humans and be done with it! PexT: That is not a very nice thing to say, TSuu. TSuuA: Oh, and look at you. With your “we need to let them love” bullshit. I can’t believe the HC fell for that. You should be ashamed of yourself and you should be shot. PexT: Just because I don’t feel the same way you do, does not mean that I am beneath you. And just because I never loved you, does not mean that I am incapable of such. TSuuA: I never asked for love, PexT. Love is something that I am unfamiliar with. I wanted you to live with me, but you decided to go to the underworld instead. PexT: I take my job seriously. And the humans deserve better than we give them. They deserve each other. I thought that we should be with one another as well, but I can see that I was mistaken. TSuuA: You are jealous. PexT: Am not. TSuuA: You are jealous that they can need one another and we can’t. PexT: You are a liar. TSuuA: I can see it in your face. You would rather be with the humans than those of your own race. Why is that, PexT? Why not just let down your guard and let us all know how you feel? PexT: And why don’t you tell us the same? I know you hate your race, as well as countless others that we have encountered over the millenia. Why don’t you push down your protective shield and tell us what we all know is running through your head. TSuuA: The less you know about me, sweetheart, the happier you will be. V’Onn: Enough of this! I have heard enough of this blather from the humans, let alone those of my own race. Why do you not see the way we are meant to be. If D’Oma’’s word is what we learned today, then that is what we will follow. Do you not realize that she speaks for the good of all? That D’Oma’’s words are the words that bind, the words of law? Why can’t you young ones understand that? I do not know where my generation went wrong in teaching. TSuuA: Enough of that. You know as well as I do that this entire argument rests on the fact that we should not be here. We should just kill all the humans and go back to our home planet where we belong. Ruts: For the first time in years, I can agree with you, TSuuA. TSuuA: Was I talking to you? Ruts: No, but. . . TSuuA: Then can it! PexT: That is no way to talk to a fellow member of your community. TSuuA: And as for you, all mighty feeling one, why don’t you take your feelings and shove them up your ass! I am leaving now. I hope not to see any of you until it is time to bring the humans to their new homes. There is a lot of work ahead of me, and I don’t want any fuck-ups. //TSuuA’axxQ leaves// Insvetainia: What’s up his shorts? PexT: I don’t know. but I hope he calms down before he gets himself deported. V’Onn: Might be for the good of us all. Or’Lon: All right, enough of that. Now that there are only pit heads here, I suggest that we collect our data as quickly as bleedin’ possible, and let V’Onn take care of the lists. V’Onn: That is good. I will send all the lists to the High Council. All I need are names and numbers from the rest of you. Then, once the new training centers are built, we can begin the process of re-training the humans to do as we command. PexT: It will be a sad, sad time for all. Insvetainia: Especially for those already above ground. PexT: Yes. What will happen to those? V’Onn: My guess is that they will all be taken by ships and sold to the nearest planet. Which is good for the land. PexT: But sad for the families. Ruts: For once, PexT, I think I agree with you there. PexT: Ruts, please, as much as I don’t want to hurt you, form your own opinions. Ruts: Sure, darlin’. No problem. V’Onn: Then let us be off and done with it. //All but PexT’tiat leave// PexT: Dear highest on high, D’Oma’, hear my words of prayer. Let the humans who are now slaves not suffer much. Watch over them with your light, please, oh great one, and save as many as you can. And as for the ones who will be retrained, I only hope that their love is strong, and will pull them through this terror that we inflict upon them. Let my strength and my light give them courage and hope to one day rise again, if not in war, then in a bond strong as life itself. I thank you, D’Oma’, and will wellness to all. //She leaves// Time: 1100 hours FIN 1/27/99
